This event is followed by a period of seven years called the tribulation period, marked especially at the halfway point by the Abomination of Desolation committed by the Anti-christ, named Brother Batholomew, denoting the beginning of the Great Tribulation period spoken of in the book of the Revelation.
Using the technologies of the day, the Anti-christ will create a common market bringing all humans under his control for both commerce and religion. Ultimately, he becomes a world dictator, with the goal in mind of standing against God and his judgment of the earth.
The mark of 666 will be the key to the story as mankind will receive this mark in order to be able to do business, travel and any host of normal functions that they seek. Those who become Christians and resist the "mark"�will be punished and in some cases even killed for their unwillingness to submit to the Anti-christ's reign.
Suspense is the element that permeates through this story which depicts the suffering and terror inflicted by this world leader on his subjects.

About the Author
Salem Kirban was an Arab-born believer and a Graduate of Girard College and Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Mary, have raised 5 children. He had authored more than 50 books including 666, 1000, Guide to Survival, and What in the World Will Happen Next? For many years he had been an investigative reporter, a war correspondent, and covered the Vietnam Conflict and the aftermath of the 6-Day War in both Israel and Jordan. Dr.�Kirban passed away in March 2010.

has not aged well with time

i bought this book new in the early 80's when i was first starting to read a litle horror. anson wrote "amityville" which i didn't think was all that great but i gave this one a try. first time around i liked it and found it spooky. ordered it a couple of months ago to revisit and that was not a good decision. the plot of the book is quite transparent, fully of gimmicks, and no depth to any of the characters. i made it have way thru and put it on the shelf. didn't pay much for it so it's a collectible

I bought this book because the man who wrote this, Jay Anson, also wrote the book amityville horror and it was a good book. It kepted me interested in it throughout the whole book. It was about the supernatural and I like that kind of stuff to read about. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the supernatural!

who ate my pie?

WHAT HAPPEND TO THESE GUYS? Seriously they used to sound like Judas Priest singing in Spanish but then they went all soft with this album. Their other 2 albums that I have rock and their titles are also about the devil so when I saw 666 I thought that it would rock as much as their earlier albums but I was wrong.
Most of the songs are mid paced except for their ballads and some of them have a poppy sound to them like 666 which is a total pop song, go figure. The only songs that I do like are the first one and the last one which is the only heavy song. The rest of the songs are okay sounding but they are forgetable and too soft for me. It's like they just got a bunch of B sides that weren't that good and put them all on one album.
The reason why I gave this cd 1 star is because I wanted an album to rock out to and this one doesn't deliver but it isn't a bad cd just don't get fooled by the title like I did. I would recommend this to people who like pop rock and I would recommend their other albums Pacto con el Diablo and Diabloicca to fans of power metal because those albums are face paced which will have you banging your head.
