About the Author
Renee Harless, her husband, and children live in Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She studied Communication, specifically Public Relations, at Radford University. Growing up, Renee always found a way to pursue her creativity. It began by watching endless runs of White Christmas- yes even in the summer – and learning every word and dance from the movie. She could still sing Sister Sister if requested. In high school she joined the show choir and a community theatre group, The Troubadours. After marrying the man of her dreams and moving from her hometown she sought out a different artistic outlet – writing. To say that Renee is a romance addict would be an understatement. When she isn’t chasing her toddler around the house, working her day job, or writing, she delves head first into a romance novel.

Unhinged, In a great way
By alynnox
4.5 stars. This is the 2nd installment in a trilogy about a seemingly cursed love between a Dominant and his submissive. Book 2 really shined for me. I liked it even better than book 1. Mallory is struggling to bounce back from a tragic event and a broken heart. In this struggle she finds the backbone I felt she was missing in book 1. That made me like her much better and made the story more enjoyable to me. This was my main criticism of book 1- Mal seemed weak and a pushover. I found myself cheering for her as she found her strength in the face of very difficult times. In book 1, I also struggled a little with the formality of the way Mal and Alex interacted. That fell away in this installment. I noticed it every once in a while but generally it felt natural. Maybe it just took me longer to meld with this couple than usual. Or possibly it was that Mal was a little stronger and Alex was more subdued. Either way it flowed more naturally. Once again, the story was a thrill ride. Lots of mystery, intrigue and twists along the way plus lots (and lots and lots) of sex. This author is very skilled at writing both kinky and vanilla sex scenes and an in making you believe the emotional connection in and outside the bedroom (and dungeon). It's a good thing- considering how many of these scenes are In the book. I enjoyed book 1 but I really connected with book 2 and I almost couldn't stand to put it down. It was a great story. There was only one ridiculous part. After the big climatic traumatic event of the book they went out to eat! I don't want to give it away but this is like MAJOR and they left the scene and went out to eat! I was like WTH? Maybe it's an English thing? Lol. Great job, Mary. I'm excitedly starting book 3 now.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. These books definitely need to be read in order: Stone Shattered, Stone Unhinged, Stone Mended.

Gifted book for honest review. juliesbookreview.blogspot.com

Adult Contemporary Erotic Romance
This book was given to me for an honest review
As in book one, the heroine and hero are Mallory
Winston and Alex Stone. Mallory is recovering from what
happened in Stone Shattered and Alex comes back into the
picture.
While Mallory is dealing with events of the past she is
offered a new position, to head up a new office in England.
She of course takes the job, because she would be a fool not to.
That brings Alex back into her life, but all is not sunny and
roses. They have a lot to get through in order to have their
happily ever after. Mallory is not the same person she was
before the events in book one occurred and she has a lot of
healing to do. They do work things out and decide to start
over. While they are trying to work on their relationship,
Mallory picks up a stalker. A continuation from the first or
perhaps a new one? I’ll never tell, but it wasn’t who I thought
it was. I will tell you, we find out Alex’s secret and they do get
their happily, but whether it’s “ever after” or “for now”
remains to be seen. The book ends on yet another cliffhanger.
I liked this book even more than the first installment.
When reading this book, it seemed, to me at least, that the
author has gained confidence and grown as a story teller. The
story transitions seamlessly and as a reader you are quickly
pulled into the story. Even, my “first-person phobic self”
didn’t notice the “I, I, I” half the time, kudos on that one Ms.
Harless. Yes, of course, I awarded bonus points for that.
Mallory, although suffering some serious PTSD, is still
strong, sweet, and adventurous. She stands up for herself more
in this story than the last and kicks serious ass.
Alex is back and more likable. Don’t get me wrong, he
still has that hair-trigger temper and opens his mouth and says
stupid stuff, but he is also more kind, loving, and humble.
That’s right ladies and gents, I said the “h” word. Giving up
the love of your life will do that to a man.
The list of secondary characters grows in Unhinged,
however, they do not take anything away from the story or the
main hero and heroine. They move effortlessly in and out of
the story and add depth and conflict.
Oh, and last but certainly not least, the sex scenes are as
hot and steamy as ever with more BDSM. There is an actual
dungeon-like playroom. That’s right, a playroom, complete
with spanking bench, St. Andrews Cross, and a special little
chair with stirrups. You know what I’m talking about ladies.
All I can say is, stirrups work nicely in a dungeon and Ms.
Winston had a ton more fun than any of us ever had when our
feet were in those things.

4.5 stars! Virtual high five and fist bump Ms. Harless
for the love, violence, cliffhanger, and for devising a way to
make “putting your feet in New York and California” not such
a bad thing after all.

4.5 Stars for Alex & Mallory and Stone Unhinged!
By Dee
Maybe it’s my cynical nature but after reading Stone Shattered I was prepared to hate Stone Unhinged no matter how good it was…but it was pretty damn good!

We pick up not too long after the shocking events of book 1 and Mallory is on the mend. Heart and body broken she is looking for a way to forget the man that taught her how to love and then stepped all over her heart. She gets an amazing opportunity which—of course—brings Alex back in her life. I have to say I was pretty pissed at Alex and I wanted her to make him work for it, but a broken heart plus tragedy equals doing whatever you can to stop the pain.

But immediately I was worried that Samantha would be a problem. I mean she was kind of problem before but now she had a lot more to lose. Then the letters start again and I had chills. To say the mystery was a surprise to me would be a complete understatement but…it was also somehow perfect. It provided that ‘will they or won’t they’ that drives any great drama.

And the sex…well just have a change of underwear handy and maybe a cool cloth before they get started. They are hot and kinky and so full of love you’ll be eager to try them out…I assume.  Alex grew on me in this story, a lot. He was open with his emotions and unafraid to choose Mallory no matter what. That is the kind of guy I’d lay across a whipping bench for!

The mystery in Stone Unhinged was a bit more under the surface but I think it made things a bit more frightening. Mallory’s fear was palpable especially considering all that she had been through. I enjoyed this story so much I read it all in one day—work be damned!—and now I’m curious to see what happens next.
